U4GM POE 2 Tips: Master Runic Remnant Propagation

Path of Exile 2 Expedition has become one of the most profitable endgame activities for players looking to build wealth without making a massive initial investment. With a carefully planned Atlas setup and the right combination of tablets, Waystones, and Runic Remnants, players can generate impressive amounts of POE2 Currency through consistent Expedition farming. High-powered characters can potentially reach 50–60 Divines per hour, although actual results depend heavily on build strength, map quality, RNG, and player experience.

The main reason Expedition is so attractive is its relatively low cost. Unlike some endgame farming strategies that require expensive specialized materials, Expedition primarily revolves around maps and Logbooks. This makes it possible to start farming without investing a huge amount of resources. In one extended farming session, a player spent around eight to nine hours running Expedition and increased their Divine balance from approximately 325 to 562. Even without counting other valuable drops, the raw Divine income alone was more than 25 Divines per hour.

The total profit becomes even more impressive when secondary rewards are included. Chaos Orbs, Perfect Exalted Orbs, Perfect Chaos, gems, Expedition items, and valuable equipment can all add considerable value to each run. This means that a strong character with an optimized strategy can potentially generate 50–60 or more Divines per hour. However, these numbers should be viewed as high-end results rather than guaranteed income.

One important change came with the 0.5 update. Olroth's Saga is no longer available through its previous guaranteed setup and can instead appear randomly on Grand Expedition maps. This reduces the maximum profit compared with the previous league, when players could achieve exceptionally high returns through guaranteed encounters. Despite this change, Expedition remains one of the strongest farming strategies because its basic investment requirements are still extremely low.

Recommended Tablet Setup

For tablets, three Eradicated Tablets are recommended. Expedition Tablets currently do not work for Grand Expeditions, so Eradicated Tablets are the main option. The most desirable modifiers are increased Monster Effect and an increased number of Rare Monsters. Item Rarity is also useful, but generally provides less value than these options.

A one-mod tablet can be Divined in an attempt to obtain a second modifier. Since the outcome is based on RNG, players should avoid spending too much on this process. More expensive tablets are best saved for exceptional five-, six-, or seven-mod maps where the potential rewards justify the investment. A reasonable limit is around 10 Divines per tablet.

Players with weaker builds can use cheaper two-mod tablets instead. Monster Effect can make Expedition significantly harder, so avoiding the most dangerous combinations can improve consistency. While the loot will be somewhat lower, the reduced investment means the strategy can still remain highly profitable.

Optimize Your Waystones and Atlas

Waystones should prioritize Monster Effect first, followed by Monster Rarity and Item Rarity. One recommended approach is to use an Omen of Chaotic Quantity and then corrupt the maps. Pack Size is generally not a priority and can be ignored unless it appears on an eight-mod map with several other strong modifiers.

For the Atlas, Monster Effect is the standard choice for powerful characters. If the additional difficulty becomes too much, Rarity provides a safer alternative. Desert is generally the preferred Expedition environment because of its stronger reward potential, while Forest can be selected by players who want an easier experience.

Several Expedition passives are also valuable. Additional Remnant modifiers and explosives provide more opportunities to improve each encounter. Additional Remnant counters are useful as well, while increased quantity based on the number of Runic modifiers affecting monsters can dramatically improve the final rewards.

Choosing a Master and Managing Rumors

Jato is a strong Master choice when paired with Unexpected Missions, Eastern Knowledge, Partial Translations, and Keen Appraisal. Doryani is another viable option for weaker characters because his setup can provide additional revised Expedition encounters. This can help players avoid losing valuable Grand Expeditions and maintain a more stable farming cycle.

Rumors are less important than they used to be because Logbooks are relatively cheap. Instead of spending too much time searching for a perfect rumor, players can simply run most of the Logbooks they encounter. Fallen Skies is particularly valuable because it guarantees a Perfect Flux, while Sergeant Gear can lead to Uthred and potentially provide the quest item connected to Seeker's Call. Star Drinker is another notable option.

Master Runic Remnant Propagation

The most important skill in Grand Expedition is learning how to arrange Runic Remnants. Early in an encounter, players should prioritize strong purple Remnants that can propagate their modifiers to later Remnants. The goal is to finish the Expedition with as many seven-plus Remnant combinations as possible, ideally reaching eight or nine.

This propagation mechanic is the foundation of the strategy. A powerful modifier obtained early can continue affecting later monster groups. By stacking several useful modifiers into the final high-level Remnants, players can create waves of monsters with significantly increased quantity and rarity, resulting in much greater loot.

Opulent Remnants are especially valuable. This golden Remnant improves the effectiveness of other modifiers, making it one of the most desirable options on the map. If it appears in an accessible location, players should usually try to reach it. Other strong choices include Power, Death, Bond, Oath, Time, and Rebirth.

Low-level Remnants with poor modifiers can be rerolled using Liquid Verisium. Since this resource can generally be self-sustained while farming Expedition, players should not hesitate to reroll weak options. However, guaranteed rewards worth one or more Divines should normally be kept instead of discarded.

Final Thoughts

Expedition remains a powerful combination of low investment, high rewards, and skill-based decision-making. RNG means that individual runs can vary significantly: one Expedition may produce only three or four raw Divines, while another can generate 10, 20, or even more. Over many runs, however, consistent execution can produce impressive returns. Players should focus on learning Remnant propagation, choosing strong modifiers, optimizing their Atlas, and making sure their character can survive the increasingly powerful monsters. If your build is strong enough to handle this content, Expedition can become an excellent way to build wealth and reduce the need to cheap Path of Exile 2 Currency while progressing through the endgame.
