Fracturing Orbs are strictly tied to endgame Atlas content and cannot drop under Path of Exile 2 Currency normal mapping conditions. Understanding how to unlock their drop pool is essential.
Fracturing Orb Drops from Cleansed Monsters
Fracturing Orbs only drop from cleansed monsters, which do not appear naturally in standard maps. To spawn cleansed monsters, players must first complete a Corrupted Nexus encounter on the Atlas.
Here's how the process works:
1. Enter a map containing a Corrupted Nexus
2. Complete the Corrupted Nexus encounter
3. Nearby Atlas regions become cleansed
4. Cleansed maps gain special modifiers
5. Cleansed monsters can now drop Fracturing Orbs
Without completing a Corrupted Nexus, Fracturing Orbs will never drop, regardless of buy POE 2 Orb of Alchemy item quantity or rarity.
