U4GM Examines Arc Raiders Modulator Drop Rate Claims

The item you actually need

If you're sorting through ARC Raiders Items for Gunsmith IV, keep the Emperor Modulator separate from the equipment used to reach it. The Modulator is interior loot inside the fallen Emperor on Pendola Pass. The Emperor Gateway Conduit opens the entrance, while Amplification Modules are different rewards. Those names are easy to mix up when you're planning a run. There's no established numerical drop rate here, either. Empty location tables showing 0% don't mean the item never appears. They reflect missing player votes, not measured odds. Your practical goal is to get inside, check the relevant containers, and leave with the Modulator safely stored.

Getting through the front door takes preparation

Start on Pendola Pass during Redirection. Damaged Emperor Relays begin activating around 25 minutes remaining, so loot early and move toward one before that window. Look for the red beam and the countdown on its map icon. Search an active relay, collect an Emperor Beacon, then deploy it somewhere open. Get under cover while the debris lands; it damages health and shields. Breach the large upright payload for Conductive, Insulated, and Plated Couplers, plus a chance at the Gateway Conduit blueprint. Smaller wreckage isn't the same loot source. You'll need one of each coupler and the learned blueprint to craft the conduit at Workbench I after extraction. Don't expect the blueprint on a fixed attempt.

A quest can cover one ingredient

Sizing Things Up offers another route to a Conductive Coupler. Photograph the Emperor's broken leg from the bridge east of Old Town. There's no marked spot to stand on, so frame the leg rather than searching for a floor indicator. For the next objective, the described route examines the exposed leg south of Railroad Junction. Inspect the hydraulic joint near its foot, and watch for the patrolling Bully. Then reach the Emperor's base west of Piazza della Rupe. Search the Buried Harvester Payload beside the entrance path, secure the coupler, extract, and speak with Celeste. Useful progress, but only one ingredient. You'll still need the other couplers, the blueprint, and a separate trip with your crafted conduit.

Inside, watch the route rather than memorizing it

Use the conduit at the hull socket beside the round hatch. Bring an Anvil for electrical nodes and smaller enemies, a Hullcracker for Hydras, a Snap Hook, healing supplies, shield chargers, and Stims. The middle trials can appear in different orders. Before crossing a room, find its exit: two white lights mark the onward door, while yellow lights indicate a return route or an outside exit. Shoot electrified boxes before touching them, and discharge the elevator's nodes before riding up. In the gas chamber, use the central dip while the walls close. Take chasm drops one level at a time. Check breachable round panels along the ascent; rushing straight past them means skipping potential Modulator loot.

Search the hangar before heading outside

Enter the last hangar through the huge opening, not the nearby yellow-light door. Cross using the swinging machinery, then reach cover near the collapsed container. Shoot three electrical nodes on each side, six altogether. That opens the roof, brings enemies into the room, and releases wall canisters. Wait for the Vaporizer to leave before searching. Orange canisters are bombs, and flashing containers deserve some distance. Search every available loot canister before using either exit. Even if you're browsing cheap ARC Raiders Materials to prepare for another attempt, don't confuse preparation with a guaranteed Modulator reward. Put valuable modules in Safe Pockets where possible, then call a Ballistic Gondola. Leaving the Emperor puts you outside; it doesn't finish your extraction.
