Path of Exile 3.27's Keepers of the Flame league shakes up character progression with a new grafting system that lets players socket special grafts into their gear for big, build-defining effects. Once you reach the mid-70s, running Enlighten becomes almost mandatory to keep the mana cost under control, especially if your attributes aren't perfectly aligned yet.

The graft shines even more during bosses. Combining Wreathed in Light with something like Corrupted Ember adds a fire-conversion layer that spawns temporary spectres, which helps clean up stray adds. Temporal Chains exposure on your main skills helps shorten the effective downtime on the graft, and running purity-based flasks cleanses the rejection debuff that appears in some Genesis Tree encounters. Players testing the setup in Path of Building report 20 to 50 million DPS halfway through a league with fairly modest investment, putting it close to the clear speeds of popular Kinetic Rain builds.

In mid-game gear, stacking additional grafts on gloves and boots creates pockets of safety on the Radiant ground that let you ignore no-regen map mods and most elemental ailments. Headhunter interactions are particularly fun here—lightning kills generate frenzy charges and turn maps into sprint-through playgrounds where Lucky hits help trigger every buff more consistently. Organ cycling once a week helps avoid the long-term penalties that come from overgrafting, and mercenaries specced fully into light support can expand the radius of your Radiant ground by half, which ends up being crucial for Uber fights that stretch across multiple phases. With a few mirror-tier upgrades, the build can climb into the 80-million-DPS range without too much trouble.

At the very top, stacking exposures and multipliers lets you fire off huge novas every 15 seconds, clearing screens in a single pulse. Running cluster jewels with Radiance notables pushes the final ceiling, hitting around 100 million DPS on a mid-league budget of 30 to 50 divines. Survivability tops out around 9,000 life with 90% elemental resistances thanks to the ground-based layers, which is plenty for tackling the Hive Fortress and other late-league content released in 3.27.0d.

For finishing touches, the Soul of Solaris Pantheon handles reflect nicely, and grafted rings can cover most ailment immunities during league mechanics. Most players kill all three bandits to squeeze out a few more passive points for crit scaling, and quicksilver flasks with lightning-infused mods help maintain momentum in fast maps. Leveling usually swaps to Fireball totems until the 70s to avoid mana issues and attribute mismatches.

Wreathed in Light ends up capturing the spirit of 3.27 perfectly—a mix of risk, power, and experimentation that makes short leagues feel full buy PoE Currency.
