#FREETOWN, 16TH SEPTEMBER 2025: Sierra Leone's Chief Justice, His Lordship Justice Komba Kamanda has inspected a Guard of Honour mounted by a contigent of the Sierra Leone Police at the Siaka Stevens Street in Freetown, marking the opening of the first Criminal Session (September 2025) that will officially usher in the new Criminal Procedure Act, 2024.
To officially open the High Court, the Honourable Chief Justice will immediately preside over some of those Criminal cases, starting with Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling.
The Hon. Chief Justice will also be joined by the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Alpha Sesay Esq., Hon. Judges of the Superior Court of Judicature, the Inspector General of the Sierra Leone Police, the Director of Public Prosecutions, and lawyers to grace the official launch of the new Criminal Procedure Act of 2024.
